Meet the staff
Lindy Ling - co-Project Manager
Hello, my name is Lindy Ling and I’m really enjoying my position as job-share project manager at Signpost, working alongside Lesley. I live in Livingston with my husband Chris and my son James, who has autism. Before Signpost I was working part-time at First Steps, a play-group for children with special needs also based at Beatlie Campus. I am hoping that my experiences with bringing up James and my work in First Steps will help me empathise with parents in the same situation. My passions in life are James, gardening and of course work.
Lesley Mount - co-Project Manager
Hello, my name is Lesley Mount and I live in Mid Calder, with my husband Ian, son Ewan (who has special needs) and two gerbils called Honey and Pepper. My favourite things are gardening and eating chocolate. I enjoy talking to the other parents that I meet through Signpost because I believe that parents are often the best source of information and support for other parents coming to terms with their child’s special needs. Before Signpost I ran my own business selling books and CDRoms. I work in the early part of the week, so if you’ve got that ‘Monday morning feeling’, give me a call!
Elizabeth Stevenson - Admin Assistant
Hello, my name is Elizabeth Stevenson and I live in Fauldhouse with Gordon and two children with Special Needs. Jennifer has Downs Syndrome and Murray is Autistic. As a parent I am involved in the various children’s groups they attend and some may know me through The Yellow Teapot Club. I decided to go back to work after many years at home as I feel Signpost can help parents who find themselves in the same situation – what better way to help others. My hobbies are reading and painting (when I get the time!)
