Free family passes, for fun days out

Research shows that many of our families can't afford days out together.

This may be because they have additional expenses caused by the child's disability, (it costs between 2 & 3 times more to raise a child with a disability compared to x typical child). Or the expense of buying a family ticket for a local attraction is seen as too much of a risk if their child's condition means they don't enjoy new experiences, and may have a 'melt-down', or get over-tired, and need to leave early. Sometimes the whole family misses out because of these difficulties.

We believe that every family should have access to experiences of fun and relaxation together, so we loan our passes, free of charge, to each family for one day. Each year, around 450 day trips are taken using the passes, to four different local attractions.

Any family, resident in West Lothian, with a child with additional support needs age 18 or under, can register to borrow our passes. Simply call the office on 01506 431123. Once you are registered, you can access the passes at the following link:

You can read about one family's experience of borrowing the passes on our case studies page

Buying the passes costs us £100s each year. Please give the gift of a fun day out to one of our families by donating whatever you can afford.
