Meet our team

Signpost has 4 part-time staff and up to 8 Trustees - you can learn more about our staff below. If you would like to find out more about our Trustees, see our trustee page

Lesley

Chief Executive

I have been with Signpost since the early days of the charity in 2001, and my son, who has additional needs, is my inspiration for my work. It is a privilege to support our families, who work so hard to ensure that their children have the best possible life.

My best possible life involves lots of chocolate, gardening, and lazy days with a good book, ideally on a beach.

Amanda

Information and Support Officer

I have been with Signpost since 2006 and my role has changed over this time. I enjoy facilitating the training courses we have created to meet parents' needs over this time, as I love to give information that improves a family's situation.

I love to travel and live for my holidays in the sun! Recent times have seen me finding my green fingers too, I could not keep a house plant alive before.

David

Family Support Worker

I joined Signpost in 2018, having previously worked for West Lothian Council Education Services and I enjoy the fact that Signpost allows me to continue to support parents and vulnerable young people in West Lothian, particularly my role in offering advocacy support in relation to educational matters.

On a personal note, I find outdoor activities therapeutic and happiness for me is found at the top of a Munro or waist deep in a river fishing

Laura

Family Support Worker

I have been working for Signpost as Family Support Worker since November 2018. My background is in health care and Speech & Language Therapy.

Working for Signpost is very satisfying, as I am passionate about empowering families and children to overcome difficult situations.

In my spare time I love being with my two cats and my dog, who always keep me entertained!
